Manufacturing Engineer
(CNC Wire Forming)
Full-time
Marlboro, MA
About Automatic Specialties, Inc.
Automatic Specialties, Inc. (ASI) is a 60+ year manufacturing company focused on custom wire forming, tooling, and engineered products. We serve industries including medical, automotive, and consumer products.
We take parts from concept through production — and value practical problem solving, speed, and ownership.
Position Overview
You will take customer prints or concepts and turn them into production-ready manufacturing processes — from initial development through stable, repeatable output on the floor.
This is a hands-on role with ownership from end to end — you’ll build, run, and refine processes yourself before transitioning them to production.
We are actively expanding our manufacturing capabilities — adding new equipment, processes, and automation — and this role will play a key part in building and scaling that work. This is an opportunity to get in early, work hands-on, and directly shape how the next phase of the business is built.
Key Responsibilities
-
Define the manufacturing process from print to finished product
-
Set up, prove out, and run initial production
-
Design fixtures and tooling for repeatability
-
Create production drawings and documentation
-
Establish quality control plans (what, how, frequency)
-
Enable operators to run and inspect the job
-
Transition processes to production
-
Own process performance over time
